The safety rule

One rule covers every automatic DM method: only use tools that connect via Instagram's official Login (OAuth).

When you connect a tool to Instagram legitimately, you'll be redirected to Instagram's own login page, authenticate there, and return to the tool with a secure token. The tool never sees your password.
